O n Wednesday, 20th December, we transformed our garden room into a Christmas themed restaurant to host a Christmas lunch for staff, volunteers and our trustees.  The Trust’s directors – Ann Goodger and Conta Rowan Hamilton cooked lunch for everyone as a thank you for all their hard work over the last months of 2017.

The menu included smoked salmon, turkey burgers, salads and apple crumble made from apples from Conta’s garden. We were delighted with contributions from our staff.  Wala Al Sakar made the most wonderful chocolate cake complete with the Dalgarno Trust’s logo.  Mahbuba Sabur made some great samosas.

We also had a donation of mince pies and chocolates from Ottolenghi.   Everyone enjoyed this Christmas feast and there was lots of crackers were pulled as everyone chatted over cake and mince pies.

All in all, it was great fun and full of goodwill and Christmas cheer.
