As part of Cervical Cancer Awareness Week (18th to 25th January) the Healthworks team put on a mini conference to raise awareness of issues around breast and cervical cancer, menopause and sexual health on Thursday, 25th January. Almost sixty people attended and they were all very pleased with the educational value of this event.
We worked in partnership with Coppafeel, Jo’s Cervical Trust, SASH and Dr Elizabeth Owen, Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Here’s what some of those who attended said about the event:
“Such events gives one a lot of knowledge on topics that are essential and that we don’t normally think is important”
“Well done! A very well organised event and very useful information. This was a good opportunity to network – From Iraqi Women’s league’
For me, the most interesting part of the event was becoming more aware of breast cancer and where I can have checks”
