Healthworks news from our Men’s Group
The Dalgarno Men’s Group have been going for some time but our recent art project has been the most popular activity we have ever run. Under the guidance of Davendra Dangol and Meriem Bellafkih a dozen men gathered each Friday from 11am to 1pm and create all sorts of things and their work is displayed in our café area – do come and have a look!
Next up, the men’s group are taking up cycling in Little Scrubs. This started on Friday, 16th February at 1pm. It is a great way to get some easy exercise in the fresh air. Why not give it a go?
And finally, we held a workshop which tackled the tricky subject of prostate cancer on Friday, 2nd March. This is something every man needs to know about – did you know that one in eight men in the UK will get prostate cancer. So it is really important to know as much as possible about this awful illness that can be easily treated if you catch it early. The workshop was very well attended and we are planning to hold something similar later in the year. If you are interested in this subject and would like to attend a similar workshop, let Davendra know by email.
We are planning future workshops that will tackle the subject of prostate cancer. Call 020 8969 6300 for more information.
